We weren't very familiar with the breed when we got him, but we love how he curls up right next to you and craves affection and is always ready to give kisses. | Comments: | Hi Lida I've had doxies for well over 30 years. I've even tried my hand at breding them (one time). My wife loves them so much that we kept the pups(She couldn't part with them. Over the course of the 30 years we've had 9 doxies. It's hard when you lose one, they are definatly part of the family. A HOUSE WITHOUT A DOG IS NOT A HOME!!!! I feel that I am somewhat of an authority on doxies and if they are shown love and affection from a puppy that they will return that affection threefold or more. They socialize with new members(puppies) within one to two days and thereafter act like one family. So if anyone whoreads this that has a doxie, won't hesitate to introduce a new puppy to their home for fear that they won't get along. I've corresponded with Lida and found her to be very trustworthy. I like what I see in her web cite and I think and hope we will become friends. Ed Farrell |

My husbabd's aunt has two and we always admired their temperment. Anyway, two months ago our 6 year old pug, NiKe, died due to respiratory failure and it left an open place in our home and hearts. | Comments: | Just love mini dachs....We had 2 several years ago they were six when they died. our female ran away one afternoon and a returned a few hours later unscathed so we thought well the next day she was so sick we didn't knwo what was wrong neither did the vet at first but after test it was her liver it was badly damaged and they feel she must've gotten into someones garage,shed or driveway and maybe drank some anit freeze or some kind of weed killer after days trips to the vet to have her rehyfrated we really thoguth we were going to loose her but she slowly recovered and had to take medication forever but one mornign she didn't wake up and she was gone shortly after out little boy (they were brother and sister same litter)he passed too the best the vet could tellus was he died of a broken heart. We were crushed my 2 children had them since they were little...It's taken me a long time to even consider another pup but my oldest will be leaving for college next fall and I'm going to need a b |

We found our two little brothers on line before Christmas, they had been born Nov 2nd and the entire experience was unbelievably easy and rewarding thanks to Lida. When I initially contacted her she responded within minutes to my inquiry and let me know that the two puppies we were interested in were available. She e:mailed me the contract forms within 24 hours and patiently answered all my questions as this was the first time we'd ever done anything like this. Once she received our contract and deposit she put a note on our boys on-line letting everybody know they had been spoken for and continued to send me pictures EVERY WEEK of our adorable boys and how they were growing. She also administered all the initial shots and kept me posted on that. By Christmas Eve when we picked them up I felt like Lida and I were family! They boys were in perfect condition and she show |

Today i came across your website by accident going thru so many; i was schocked to find a breeder so close. I've found them; but in CA> or Tx> or Fl>. Do you ever have long-haired piebalds or the cream colored piebalds that look like a miniature labrador retriever?!!I also have seen the freckled piebald that are cream & red. They are so beautiful. I have a friend that has a lab & he is such a people dog & so luvy; wants to be near ya all the time (but what a horse size dog). The pie-bald I held in Ohio wanted to be on my lap & give kisses all the time...........i just love em. Please keep me in mind if you ever have any & "please" keep in touch. Thank you so very much. | Comments: | hello. my sister has a miniture long haired dachsund named oscar meyer...aka, "the meyer man!" he is the absolute most adorable, loveable little man i have ever met...he just loves everyone. his temperment is unbelieveable...he is a black and tan handsome little man...i would love to have a miniture long haired myself...to me it does not matter if it is male or female...nor does the color, just that the temperment is the same! the only problem is, i am moving in october and the place i am moving to only allows pets 25 lbs or under, and they have to be one year old already...it is very hard to find any full breed especially miniture long haired dachs for adoption any where in pa...this apartment complex won't budge on the age thing because our apartment will be brand new never lived in, and they don't want a puppy messing on the carpets...so alas, i am left searching for my own meyer man or girl and haven't come up with anything thus far...if you have any suggestions, i w |
